If you’re not afraid to get a little crafty in the name of organisation, this DIY vinyl wall organiser can be hung just about anywhere. It has plenty of pockets in the front for small objects and office supplies.
We’ll admit that this project is definitely a bit of an undertaking compared to hanging a shoe organiser over the back of the door, but the nice thing about it is that you can cut and size it to match the space you have, and you lay out the pockets in the sizes and shapes you prefer. It’s also designed to be chalk or chalkboard pen friendly.
You’ll need a dowel, some white tape (just to get the look), twine, white thread (or a ribbon), and about a metre of vinyl chalk cloth or other blackboard fabric. Once you have all of your components, cut out your pockets, arrange and pin them to the back of your organiser, and sew it all up. Wrap your white ribbon around the outside, attach the dowel to the top and hang it up. Fill those pockets with anything you need to store. You can write on it with a chalkboard pen to label the pockets, or you can leave it clean and blank.
