Schedule Evernote Reminders with Related Notes
Samurai uses Evernote’s reminders feature for meetings that require specific notes:
Evernote recently added the capability to create reminders for specific notes. If you set one for a specific date and time, you’ll get a notification on your phone which will take you to that specific note.
When I have an appointment which requires specific directions to reach the room or any other information I need to know beforehand, I create a note a reminder before the appointment (anywhere from a few minutes before to the previous day, depending on the nature of the note). For example, if I have directions to a specific location, I set an alert a few minutes before the meeting, so that information will pop up when I need it.
Obviously, you can already create reminders in Google Calendar and other apps, but this is useful if you have a lot of notes that specifically match that appointment — almost like Google Now for notes.
Clean the House Before You Leave to Make Sure You Unpack Later
BArch shares her own tip for coming home from holidays:
I’ve found that cleaning the house before I leave on a trip works best [for making sure I unpack]. I come home to a pretty house and I can’t stand to make it messy by leaving my unpacked items lying around.

Set All Your Feedly Feeds to One View
Dustin Luck noticed that all his feeds changed back to “Magazine” view after today’s changeover. He found the solution for putting them back:
How to set all your feeds to the title view: Go to the Preferences page and select title-only as the default view settings. Of course it can be used to set any other view globally as well.
