Evernote For Windows Gets Reminders And A Clean New Look

Windows: Evernote has received a massive update to match the big redesign available for Mac users last year. In addition to a flat, “modern” new look, Evernote 5 brings the much-welcome reminders to notes and a hundred other new features.

The new, simpler look replaces the cluttered old interface to put more emphasis on your notes. You can also now add shortcuts for instant access to specific tags, saved searches, notes or notebooks. Also, the new card and list views for your notes make scanning them more pleasant.

Premium users get smarter searches — with notes prediction, saved search shortcuts and searching shared notebooks — as well as a map view of your notes.

For both free and premium users, the reminders feature is finally here, allowing you to add alarms to your notes, effectively turning them into to-do items.

Unfortunately, like Evernote 5 on Mac, this Windows update removes the ability to select multiple tags at once from the navigation pane, although you can do that when you’re in the “all tags” view.

Read more about the new features or grab the update from the link below. If you’re an existing Evernote user, the auto-update will begin within a week, Evernote says.
