Mac: Raven is a new web browser that introduces a different way to use webapps and fits into OS X’s design scheme.
At first glance, Raven looks like a browser you’d find on an iPad, but its real innovation comes in the form of how it handles webapps. When you install an app, it exists on the sidebar and features a number of site specific commands. For instance, if you install Twitter, it integrates replies, messages and new tweets into the sidebar. The same goes for Google+ and Facebook. While it’s not on par with the likes of Chrome or Firefox for extensions or speed, it makes browsing the web a different kind of experience.
Raven is still in beta, but it’s a free download.
