Everything Coming To Stan, Netflix, Foxtel And Amazon In June 2019

Game of Thrones may be over but winter is coming. And that means it’s time to get the warm drinks ready, snuggle under a blanket and hunker down to some on-screen entertainment. Whether it’s family movies, action, suspense, comedy or drama there’s something for everyone this month on the big streaming services. Here’s everything that’s coming in June 2019.

Stan

Stan’s big highlights for the month are the Kevin Bacon led series City on a Hill and Ben Kingsley and Jackie Weaver in Perpetual Grace. Both series are highly acclaimed and feature all-star casts.

Claws is also back for another season as well as favourites like iZombie (Ok, that’s one of my faves) and Ben 10.

City on a Hill

Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge team up in this gritty and gripping drama set in the crime-ridden Boston of the early nineties. Executive produced by Academy Award winners Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, City on a Hill is an epic fictionalised account of the events known as the “Boston Miracle”, following an unlikely alliance that sees the entire criminal justice system of the city come crashing down.

Claws

Claws is a dark yet wickedly funny drama series which follows the lives of five badass Florida manicurists. Hiding behind a façade of mani-pedis and beauty products, the ladies soon find themselves out of their depth in the criminal underworld.

Absentia season two, 14 June

  From prolific showrunner Bryan Fuller, who brought American Gods to life for Amazon Prime Video, Hannibal explores the early relationship between the renowned psychiatrist (portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen) and his patient, FBI criminal profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), who is haunted by his ability to empathise with serial killers.
• NOS4A2, 7 June: Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, has his whole world threatened when a young woman in New England discovers she has a dangerous gift.
• The Client, 15 June: Starring Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones; based on the novel by John Grisham. A young boy who witnessed the suicide of a mafia lawyer hires an attorney to protect him when the District Attorney tries to use him to take down a mob family.
• The Man Who Knew too Little, 15 June: Starring Bill Murray. Wallace Ritchie, who is mistaken for a spy and must stop a plot to assassinate international leaders at a banquet.
