Microsoft’s To-Do App Just Got A Lot Better

Microsoft has pushed out an update to their task management software, To-Do. The latest update adds some handy features and ups the ante after Google finally started getting their task management house in order earlier this week.

The updated software allows you to create sub-tasks and uses Microsoft’s new Fluent Design user interface. That brings themes and some new animations to make the job of managing tasks a little more fun.

Microsoft acquired Wunderlist, one of the most loved and used task management apps, back in 2015. A year ago, it announced that Wunderlist would be mothballed with the development team moving over to the imaginatively named To-Do. Over that time, Microsoft has added new features to To-Do using that expertise.

Earlier this week, Google released its new Tasks app but, based on the comments we received on that story and some of the other feedback I’ve seen, it looks like that effort is a case of too little and too late with people already adopting other solutions.

Microsoft has been busy with the recent update to Windows 10 and improvements to make Outlook email more secure.

To-Do is available from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
