Alongside roses and exciting underwear, chocolate is one of the most popular gift ideas on Valentine's Day. Retailers know this - and most of them are now trying to clear an abundance of leftover stock.
Over the next few days, you can rest assured that your local supermarket will be selling boxed choccies for a tasty, tasty discount. This is especially true for brands that used Valentine's Day-themed packaging - Toblerone roses, for example.
We advise doing a strategic sweep of the supermarkets in your area - if the prices aren't much lower, head back a day or two later. If past Valentine's Days are anything to go by, you can eventually expect prices to be slashed by 50 per cent or more.
In summary, it's a good time to be a tight-arse chocolate fan. (See you after Easter!)
