Glue Wood Joints Together Without Any Clamps Using Super Glue

Glue Wood Joints Together Without Any Clamps Using Super Glue

Wood glue takes a while to set, and that can be a problem when you can’t use a clamp to hold the two pieces in place. For situations like that, a little super glue is all you need.

In this video from the Average Joes Joinery YouTube channel, Joe shares a simple tip for joining oddly-shaped wood joints without a clamp. Go ahead and apply your wood glue for the joint like usual, but leave a few open spaces where you can dab some super glue. That way the super glue dries instantly and will hold the wood in place until the wood glue can finally dry. This is also a great tip for applying wood moulding to anything where a clamp isn’t always an option. For larger joints, a little hot glue can be useful as well.
