Over on Flickr, fosco_ submitted this simple Ubuntu desktop, with just a few things tweaked for a cleaner experience. Like we’ve said, sometimes less is more, and this desktop makes good use of a few widgets to make a great UI even better.
While this desktop is all Ubuntu, you don’t necessarily need it to make use of this. Here’s what you’ll need to bring some of this look to your PC:
- The Untitled wallpaper by Aaron Burden
- The ARC GTK Theme (Direct download link)
- The Numix icon pack
- The Dash to Dock and Applications Menu GNOME Shell Extensions
While the shell extensions and GTK theme are definitely linux tools, the Numix icon theme can be ported around with a little work, and that wallpaper can go anywhere. If you like the look, make sure to head over to Flickr and let fosco_ know you like what he’s put together.
