For those of us who work long hours at their desks (and haven’t embraced the idea of the standing desk), ergonomics can be a constant concern. Luckily, there’s an easy way to figure out the right chair height for your own body shape that won’t leave you strained and sore.

The way to do this, as we reported back in 2012, is to stand up while you’re adjusting the chair and align the seat with the bottom of your kneecaps. As you want to be sitting with your feet flat on the floor and your legs at a 90 degree angle, this technique makes sure that you get it right quickly and easily.
This quick technique is especially useful if you share a seat, or don’t get to use the same chair every day. In these cases, it’ll save you plenty of time each day, eliminating the need for guesswork.
