Try as I might, I can’t just fall asleep to white noise or thunderstorm sounds. I love ’em but they don’t work for me. This jazz playlist, on the other hand, might knock me out before I finish writing about it.
This playlist, curated by Spotify itself, features a collection of calming jazz songs to help you sleep. The entire list is soothing without drawing much attention to itself, for a perfect night’s sleep.
Welcome to our Featured Playlist series. Each week, we’ll share a new themed playlist, embedded for your convenience! You can copy the track list to your service of choice, or listen right here. Have a sweet playlist of your own? Share it with us in the comments below!

I think association is the important part of how effective sleep noises are. I have some gonging that works for me, mainly because I started using it when noisy neighbours kept me awake, meaning that I was exhausted the first times I played it.
I used to fall asleep to AC/DC because the night owl in the next dorm room played Back in Black over and over when I was in the Air Force!
I’m guessing this playlist is somewhat less effective when you listen with a free account. Having your peaceful jazz music interrupted with “LISTEN TO CHOON AFTA CHOON!!”, “WIFFOUT ADS!!”, “insert AIRHORN here” .
Terrible, Spotify. Surely they could tailor their ads so they have different commercials for different music types. Maybe I’m asking too much…
