One word that best describes how you work: Obsessively
What apps/software/tools can’t you live without?
Deliveroo, Trello, LinkedIn, Slack and Skype
What social network do you find the most useful?
LinkedIn.
What were the most important lessons you learned while growing your business?
#1 Take advantage when you start off small – do things that don’t scale, this is where key learnings will be revealed and it is this that will give you the true ability to scale.
#2 Realising it’s okay to fail as long as you take on board the quick learnings and adapt.
What has been the most surprising part of your business journey?
The strength of the human spirit continues to surprise me. We are all faced by so many daily challenges, but the human spirit has an unremarkable ability to strive towards goals that may initially seem unattainable but yet still somehow propels you forward into success.
What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else?
#1 Maintaining a positive energy that is easily infused to all those around me.
#2 Ability to see past most issues that people view as impossible hurdles.
What’s your sleep routine like?
The only down side to managing the Australian side of a global business is the unforgiving time differences. I aim to be in bed before 1.30am each night and up by 6.30am. Anything less than five hours — I’m in trouble.
What advice would you offer to other businesses on how to succeed?
Put meticulous planning and detail in forming your ‘Plan A’ for your business, encompassing all goals and objectives.
Do this right and there is no need for a plan B. Simply put, plan B distracts from plan A.
