Microsoft Finally Rolls Out New Look Outlook.com

Microsoft has had the newly redesigned Outlook.com, it’s email service, in preview for some time. The company has finally started to roll out the revamped service to customers worldwide. Here are the details.

The new Outlook.com is built on an Office 365-based infrastructure, bringing users added security and a cleaner interface. There are also a bunch of sweet features that have been added, including:

  • Automatically adding flight confirmations to your calendar
  • Deep integration with Microsoft Office so users can edit documents attached in an email while simultaneously replying to the sender
  • Attaching files directly from Dropbox and Box
  • Support for add-ons such as Giphy and Wunderlust
  • In-line replies
  • @Mentions function

North American users are being prioritised in the new Outlook.com roll out but Microsoft has said it’s upgrading millions of accounts each week so keep an eye out for changes to your Outlook email.
