When it comes to organising your desktop shortcuts, Fences has always been a Lifehacker favourite. Nimi Places, however, could give it a run for its money with its scheduling feature.
Say you have a work laptop that you take home. Nimi Places can set up certain sections and app shortcut arrangements that appear while you’re at work that then revert to a different setup once you get home. Alternatively, you can set a layout to only appear for certain hours of the day. Nimi Places has a host of other features that make it worth checking out if Fences isn’t quite cutting it for you.
