VOUCHR is a new shopping application that allows customers to collect and redeem discount shopping coupons directly through their iPhone. The Australian developed app is compatible with a variety of retail partners including Domino’s Pizza, Oxford, Cookie Man and Moochi.
Traditional shopping coupons require so much faffing about that they’re hardly worth the effort. VOUCHR attempts to streamline the process by turning your iPhone into a discount redemption device.
Once the app has been downloaded, users can add coupons to their Apple Passbook by scanning the VOUCHR codes on compatible ads. You can then show the coupon on your phone’s screen to receive discounts in-store.
The app will also send reminders when an offer is about to expire; one of the main caveats of paper coupons. Users can subscribe to the brands that interest them to cut down on the discount offers that are sent their way and receive location-based reminders when a participating store is nearby. Like all modern apps, there’s also a social networking “sharing” element that we implore everyone to ignore.
The VOUCHR app can be downloaded from the company’s website. An Android version is “coming soon”.
