Page Eraser Hides Annoying Content

Chrome: If you’d like a cleaner look on some of the web sites you visit, Page Eraser will neatly and smoothly get rid of obtrusive ads, annoying comments streams and other page elements.

The idea isn’t anything new — Adblock extensions have been doing this for years — but Page Eraser is so easy and quick to use that it brings content blocking to a whole new level.

If you see an ad or other page section you don’t like, just click the Page Eraser button, highlight the section you want to get rid of, and click. You can undo your actions from Page Eraser’s settings page at any time if you decide you want it back. Check out the video above to see it in action. As usual, we’ll remind people that many sites (Lifehacker among them) rely on advertising for funding, so bear that in mind when you’re on a blocking frenzy.

Page Eraser is a free download, works wherever Chrome does.
