Ubuntu: Rather than searching various forums for answers to your Ubuntu woes, install the AskUbuntu unity lens to search the archives at AskUbuntu.com, an Ubuntu-community forum where members gain reputation based on helpful peer support.For those unfamiliar with the concept, a unity lens is a feature of the Ubuntu Unity user interface where users can find and launch content both locally and on the web.
To install the AskUbuntu lens, open a Terminal session and enter the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:askubuntu-tools/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unity-place-askubuntu
The AskUbuntu lens should appear immediately. As you type a word or phrase you will see topics using those keywords. The lens is a free addition to Ubuntu versions 11.04 and later.
