Studies show that people are most productive on Tuesday mornings. According to career coach J.T. O’Donnell, that’s why it’s best to catch your boss during this time slot. When your boss is feeling more productive, he or she may be more willing to work with you.
You want your boss clear-headed and feeling productive. If you focus on meeting at a time where he is more likely to be in a better mood, he may also be more positive and proactive about helping you map out a goal for your raise.
Conversely, you should avoid asking for a raise on Mondays, as most people aren’t in a great mood that day. So plan tonight and ask tomorrow.
