We’ve talked before about changing up your routine to help spur on creativity and get your brain moving. What changes do you make, though?

Our days are filled with routines. Most of them are pretty good! They help us deal with a large number of complex tasks. If we stick to them too closely, though, we get bored.
Fortunately, there are plenty of things we can do to mix things up. As productivity blog Pick the Brain suggests:
So, next time you find yourself dreading your next morning run, go a different route in the evening. Better yet, find an exercise buddy to come with you as you explore your town on foot! OK, so maybe you’re not an avid runner. Just gather your family for a random night of board games, movies, and popcorn. Everyone, including yourself, will thank you later.
What kind of things do you do to change up your routine and keep your life interesting? How effective are those things at getting your brain energised? Has anything in particular not helped? Tell us in the comments.

One response to “How Do You Change Your Routine To Keep Life Interesting?”
Personally I find I don’t deliberately do anything, but that my time is very cyclical – i’ll spend many months unmotivated, just on cruise mode, then another few months absolutely going bananas with energy and motivation.
For me that keeps it interesting since i’m never in a routine for too long, and its more about optimizing my time, so that i’m not feeling bad during the unmotivated months about doing nothing with my time.
sometimes I poop after I shower
Sometimes I get fired on purpose just to spice up my life, it’s fun
May the bridges you burn light the way
