iTunes Update Restores Duplicate Song Removal, Fixes Bugs

Windows/Mac: When iTunes 11 launched a few weeks back, we lauded the speed improvement and new features. However, a few things were missing, including duplicate item finding. Apple has now pushed out an update that adds those features back and includes some much-needed fixes.

The big news in the update is that iTunes can now search and display duplicate items in your library again. Apple had said this was a feature they planned to bring back as soon as possible, so if you’ve been missing it from iTunes 11, grab the latest version to get it back. Similarly, the update fixes some errors with iCloud syncing when iTunes Match is enabled, as well as a problem where AirPlay wouldn’t appear as it should. The new version is available now via Software Update or directly from Apple’s website.
