If you’ve ever had to work with fibreglass insulation you know that it gets into your skin easily and causes intense itching. Common sense dictates that you wear long sleeved shirts, gloves, long pants, goggles, and a face mask to prevent fibres from getting into your skin, but it also helps to rub baby powder on your wrists, on your neck and any other areas where there are gaps in protective clothing.
This tip comes from tutorial site eHow. If you do end up with fibreglass itch, it recommends tainge a cold shower (to rinse off fibres while keeping your pores closed) followed by a hot shower (to open your pores to make it easier to scrub remaining fibres out).
If you don’t have any baby powder handy, cornflour or plain talcum powder should work just as well.
