One of the easiest ways to start publishing your own content is to use out-of-the-box software that integrates easily with a hosting platform. It makes the whole set up process and admin side of the website super easy. One of the most popular tools for doing that is WordPress. Lots of web hosting companies offer integrated packages that include WordPress-specific services. Here are a few of the best and most popular - some of which are offering big discounts for a limited time.

WordPress.com

WordPress offers their own hosting solutions.

If you're happy with a sub-domain, rather than your own domain name then WordPress has a free services so you can get started. Once you've got the hang of how it all works, you can move to one of the paid tiers, that start at $5 per month.

The more expensive $10 and $33 monthly packages offer extra services such as increased storage, support for analysts, CSS editing and premium templates.

Hostgator

HostGator's services offer SSL certificates - which are practically mandatory these days - as well as decent traffic limits, backups and other services.

Their deals are currently discounted by at least 40% and they claim to be faster than other hosts because of their infrastructure.

Namecheap

Kicking of with an opening price of just $1.37 per month, reverting to $5.33, Namecheap lets you use your own domain and offers 10GB of storage. They also offer free migration services to bring your existing site over from your current host as well as the ability to host multiple sites.

Like most of the other hosts, they also offer hosting services starting from under $4 per month.

Laughing Squid

When we looked at web hosting services earlier this year, laughing Squid was recommended by a reader. Although they're not the cheapest option around, Laughing Squid's WordPress options start at US$12 per month. They also offer free migration services and a range of different services including SSL certificates. However, they aren't a domain registrar so you'll need to BY domain name.

SiteGround

SiteGround is another recommended hosting company. SiteGround's WordPress hosting starts at $4.95 per month ranging up to $14.95 per month for their premium service. But watch out as those prices do not include GST (that's in the fine print).

Comments

You should probably mention that Wordpress.com is completely different to the other Wordpress options (Wordpress.org).

My favourite host is Cloudways. Super fast, great features and as many websites/self hosted applications as you want (as long as your virtual server can handle it).

Bluehost is the best to be honest... I’ve been using them for years and when I needed help I get to talk to someone who actually knows there stuff....
