Pastebot Is A Versatile Clipboard Manager For Mac And It’s Currently Free In Beta

Mac: Over the years, dozens of clipboard managers have popped up and most do one simple thing: store a history of what you copy and paste. Tapbot, developers of the popular Twitter client Tweetbot, have a slightly different idea with Pastebot.

Pastebot does the normal clipboard manger task of storing a bunch of different items on a clipboard, but it also supports text expansion-esque snippets in an area of the app called Pasteboards. Here, you can store small snippets of text so you can access them quickly. Beyond that, Pastebot also a Filters section that runs text through a formatting filter to do actions like creating lists, changing case, and more. It’s a clever implementation and set of features that angles Pastebot somewhere between a text expansion tool and yet another clipboard manager. Either way, if you’re not sure if it’s something you’d use, the beta is free to check out right now.
