Spotify’s Release Radar Delivers New Music From Your Favourite Artists

One of Spotify’s most popular features is the Discover Weekly playlist that recommends music based on your listening choices, and now they’re putting that same tech to use to let you know about new releases from the artists you already care about.

Spotify’s new Radar Release playlist updates every Friday (so Saturday for Australians) and recommends music based on the artists you’ve been listening to — and since not everyone is releasing new music every week, you’ll also get a few new tracks from some unfamiliar musicians you might like. Because it’s based directly on your listening activity it will adapt to your preferences as you musical taste changes. I notice that it’s also delivering remixes and old demos that are newly released — which is cool, but don’t get your hopes up when you see a new Beatles song in your feed.

You can find the new playlist under the ‘New Releases for You’ section within Discover starting today.
