Due to its unwillingness to dissolve in cold liquids, table sugar is the enemy of iced coffee. You could whip up a simple syrup, or you could reach for something slightly healthier yet even more decedent: maple syrup.

Not only does maple syrup stir into cold coffee superbly, it imparts richer flavour and a subtle sweetness to your brew, along with all sorts antioxidants and nutrients. Just add a dollop, swirl it up, and enjoy sweet, icy refreshment.
