This Video Explains All The Ways You're Washing Your Hands Wrong

You've probably been washing your hands for so long that you assume you're an expert at it by now. Who wouldn't? However, as this video points out, most of us could still use a few pointers.

As this video from YouTube channel You're Doing It Wrong explains, many of us focus on the wrong things when washing our hands. Skipping the soap means you're not killing most of the germs on your hands. Also, many of us focus on the wrists, palms, and backs of our hands. However, the fingertips are actually the most important part to wash, as these come into contact with most surfaces. Finally, when it comes time to dry, paper towels are better than air dryers. While they're not as great for the environment, air dryers tend to leave hands dry, and wet hands make for a very germ-friendly environment.

I will save you 5.5 minutes of fluff:

    It starts at 2:45.

    1. Don't use hand dryers, paper towels are best.
    2. The temperature of the water doesn't matter
    3. Use soap and focus on washing your finger tips

air dryers tend to leave hands dry, and wet hands make for a very germ-friendly environment.

I guess that is meant to say "air dryers tend to leave hands wet". If they leave hands dry, well, that means it has worked as intended.
