Build A DIY Bug Trap With A Soft Drink Bottle

Insect issues? Here’s a reusable, highly effective trap you can make with an LED light and a two-litre soft drink bottle.

Cockroaches and other creepy crawlies can turn a nice home into a nasty place. Julian Smith shared his method for taking out the insects with news station WPXI in a YouTube video from JRProductionsPGH. You take an empty two-litre soda bottle with the top removed and flipped, place an LED in the bottom, and give the sides of the bottle some grip with masking tape.

The bugs will be drawn to the light and climb in, never to see the outside world again. This trap was designed specifically for stink bugs, but it will work well for any kind of small pest that is drawn to light. Now you can take care of your bug problem without any nasty chemicals.
