Build Secret Litter Box Storage In A Stereo Cabinet

There are plenty of ways to keep your cat litter box out of sight. Instructables user egreer1 built this nifty hider with storage from an old stereo system. It hides the sight and smell of the box.

Build Secret Litter Box Storage In A Stereo Cabinet

Most of us resort to putting the litter box in an out of the way space in the house. For some people that’s in a corner of the bathroom or laundry room. egreer1 hides the cat litter box and storage in plain sight. He gutted out the stereo and speaker parts, made some holes for the cat and himself to access the box, and crafted a door for him to use when emptying the litter. After sprucing it up a bit on the outside, adding handles and plexiglass to match other furniture in the room, the new cat space was ready to go.

One of the perks of this is having one place to put all of the cat’s items, such as food, litter, treats and scooper. You also get to relieve yourself of the smell, and kitty gets to do his business in private. You can read the full step-by-step guide with more pictures below.
