Program And Customise Your Vibrator With An Arduino

Some vibrators do nothing but buzz. Fancier models may have different vibration patterns, but if you really want to experiment — and test out your programming chops — you can create your own vibration patterns with an Arduino.

Lifehacker veterans should be familiar with the Arduino: it's a small microcontroller that's really useful for electronics project. The Arduino is great for home automation and tweaking your gadgets — including, yes, vibrators.

For this project you'll need a (good) vibrator, an Arduino, and the HackOff, a tiny board that connects the two together. It's a pretty simple project. As we've said before, it's really easy to get started with Arduino, especially if you have someone's code to build from.

Check out the video above to see it in action and hear more about what it can do (and its limitations), or see the full guide at the link below.

Damn, I was sure there was going to be comment gold on this article before I clicked on it

I would purely like to know who the red headed buxom beauty is?

Why? She's not interested in you. She has a vibrator with an arduino, useless, floppy men are no longer necessary,

All we need now is a machine that farts in bed, and we men can be phased out.

Negatory... no soulless automaton can replicate the noxious protein loaded wetness of my silent bedtime farts... nor the ninja-esque grace with which I deliver them and then openly snicker with glee as it reaches my wife's delicate olfactory senses.
