And so we come to the second-last Patch Tuesday that will include Windows XP. For everyone who has already moved on, the bad news is you will still probably need to reboot — even if you’re using a Mac.

Microsoft’s bundle of monthly updates (which will hit early Wednesday Australian time) includes five planned patches, affecting all versions of Windows from XP onwards, as well as Silverlight (which is how Mac users get dragged in). So it’s another case of reboot Wednesday.

corporate users can pay microsoft and still get patches and full support
