Build A DIY Weather Forecast Display With A Raspberry Pi And A LED Matrix

Weather displays are a fun project that also happen to be pretty useful. Over on Instructables, DIYer AughtNaughtZero shows how to build a display that will spell out the forecast for you each day.

This project is powered by a Raspberry Pi that taps into Weather Underground. Once it pulls in the forecast, it displays the forecast using a word matrix that’s backed with a string of LEDs. It’s a pretty clever little design that’s much different than projects we’ve seen before. You’ll need some soldering skills and a lot of patience for this one, so head over to Instructables for the full guide.
