Google always uses its annual I/O developer conference as a place to trot out some of its biggest and most exciting product updates. You'd be forgiven for feeling like this year was kind of a dud. There were no new gadgets, no new moonshot projects, and not even cool new swag like Google Cardboard headsets. The keynote was essentially just a boring two-hour lecture about small, incremental updates to existing products.

Today at the annual Google I/O developer conference, we learned about all the updates coming to the latest version of Google's mobile operating system, dubbed Android O for now -- at least until its official release later this year. This is the eighth version of the OS (Android 8.0), and even though we've seen some of the additions in the developer preview that launched in March, there's a whole swath of new goodies that Google highlighted at the show. So, without further adieu, here are all the new updates coming to Android.

Another Google I/O keynote has happened and, again, we have mixed feelings about what we saw. Apparently, the search giant is shifting from being mobile-first to being AI-first. What does that mean? Who the hell knows.
