Run A Wet Finger Across Surfaces To Make Plastic Wrap Stick Better

Everyone has a few bowls which plastic wrap never seems to cling to. But there’s an easy fix for it: put your finger in water and run it across the surface or rim of the bowl.

The One Pot Chef swears this works for any bowl where you have a problem making cling-film stick. According to a Reddit thread, plastic wrap has a substance much like gelatin; since gelatin becomes sticky and gooey upon contact with water, a similar reaction seems to take place here.

This also explains why plastic wrap is hard to handle when you have wet hands. But like we’ve said before, you can put it in the fridge to make it easier to roll.
