‘Take A Breath’

‘Take A Breath’

When you see something you don’t like and feel like sharing your opinion, designer Jason Santa Maria suggests you first take a breath and consider what you’re going to do. The world can, at least, wait those few seconds to hear what you think and perhaps you’ll realise the weight your message might carry to others.

Jason’s message isn’t about scolding or correcting anyone. He admits he’s guilty of being a jerk with his messages from time to time, too. I’ve done it. We’ve all done it, yet I don’t think anyone thinks we need more negativity in the world. So choose your complaints wisely.

Take a breath, form your opinion, and wait a moment before you put your thoughts out into the world. They reflect on you and they matter to others. Make sure they’re exactly what you want to say.
