SafariOmnibar Makes Safari More Like Chrome

Safari: SafariOmnibar is a simple plug-in for Safari that removes the search box from Safari and extends the location bar all the way across the top of the window. It also allows you to search by typing your search term into the location bar.

SafariBar simply emulates the way Chrome allows you to search your preferred search engine and type in a URL destination in the same bar in Safari. The utility requires Safari 5.0 or higher to install, but once installed simply restart Safari to see the difference.

Firefox users can check out the previously mentioned Omnibar extension, which does the same thing in their preferred browser. Thanks to Cheri for sending us the tip!
