Rachel Sanders almost expects to have her contact go dry at a moment’s notice. She also anticipates unexpected sunshine, lacking change for parking meters, and for headaches to strike at any moment. So Rachel carries around a MacGyver Kit with convenient and clever problem solvers. What would you pack in yours?
Rachel strips most of her goods of their packaging in favour of plastic wrap. The result is an impressive amount of gear packed into a (custom-knit) bag about the size of a soft-drink can. A sampling of the choice items:
- Bandaids (5)
- Knuckle bandaid (1)
- Sewing kit with:
needle
black and white thread
black and white buttons
safety pins (3)- Excedrin
- Benadryl
- $1 in quarters
- Contact lens case containing:
lip balm
suntan lotion- Spare set of contact lenses
- Tweezers
- Deodorant
- Earplugs
Now comes the fun part: tell us what you’d pack in your own soft drink-sized MacGyver Kit (or, as Rachel suggests, your less-family-friendly “Oh S#%$ Kit”.) Throw in some of your own day-saving tools, and tell us how you’d pack them (like how Rachel uses contact lens cases to store small liquids/gels), in the comments below.
