How to Undo Reposts on TikTok

TikTok is one of the most popular social media apps out there. Like most platforms, part of the appeal is being able to easily share someone else’s video to your own account, so your followers can watch it. But what if you accidentally reposted a TikTok video? It’s easy to undo a repost, it turns out—but the app doesn’t make it super clear how to do so.

How to undo a repost on TikTok

First, you’ll need to open TikTok on your Android or iPhone. Next, head to your TikTok profile by tapping on the Profile icon in the bottom right. On your profile page, you should see a few tabs underneath your bio. The first tab icon (with the six lines) is for your posted videos, and the tab with the lock icon is for videos you’ve uploaded and made private. The middle tab icon with two arrows is the videos you’ve reposted. (The other two tabs are for Bookmarks & Collections and for videos you’ve liked.)

Head to the middle tab, find the video you reposted and open it up. On the video screen, you’ll see some icons on the right side of the screen. Tap on the arrow icon and a pop-up share menu will appear in the bottom half of your screen. You should see a yellow icon that says Remove Repost with two arrows and a checkmark. Tap on the yellow repost icon and a text box will appear that says Removed.

Note: While you can undo reposts on TikTok mobile apps, the web version of TikTok via tiktok.com currently doesn’t allow you to undo reposts.
