Android: If you’re interested in giving your phone a new operating system, or you want to breathe new life into an old device, installing a new ROM is a great way to go. However, there are dozens of ROMs available, and picking the best one can be tricky. This massive database will help you find the right one for you.

XDA Developer nimrodity put together this massive database comparing the features of some of the most popular Android ROMs, including CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, AOKP and a few others. It’s a work in progress and he’s opened the database to the public so people who don’t see their favourite ROM included can help edit and update it.

For the ROMs that are already listed, you can scroll through the hundred or so rows to see all of the available features, such as support for HALO (Paranoid Android’s ring-style launcher), a theme chooser, wake on volume buttons, power options — even options as specific as whether the ROM has a built-in flashlight mode.

We’ve covered some of our favourite Android ROMs in the past, but a number of others have appeared since then that are worth checking out. Of course, the one you settle on will have to support your device as well as have the features you want, so don’t overlook that when you’re making a decision. Hit the link below to check out the database, or read more about it on the XDA Developer Forums.
