A good shower head can make your day, but buying one new can be pricey. Instructables user impulse94 decided the best course of action was to build one from a PCV pipe.
It might seem like a lot of work, but it only takes a few dollars and a little bit of time. You don't need to be skilled at plumbing either, as this guide just taps into your pre-existing shower head connection. Other than the PVC pipe, caps and ends, you only need a drill to create the holes. If you have a clunky shower head, this is a great DIY solution to a usually expensive replacement. Find the full guide over on Instructables.

Wow. That looks like a shocking way to start the day.
Most Australian governments have a shower head replacement program - it's free! http://www.water.vic.gov.au/saving/home/showerhead-exchange-program
