If you're playing buzzword bingo out there, you can check AI off from your cards for about the billionth time this year. Google continues to find ways to integrate AI with changes made to their spreadsheet app Sheets. The software has been updated with AI that looks at your data and makes suggestions, by using "machine intelligence", on how to best analyse and visualise your data.
This probably isn't coincidental: the same day Microsoft announced a stack of mobile improvements for Office, Google has started rolling out a bunch of new features for Docs, Slides and Sheets on mobile devices.
Google Docs, Sheets And Slides saw major updates last week, including a new iOS app for Sheets and the ability to directly edit Microsoft Office documents. One less obvious consequence of that shift? Quickoffice is being retired.
Last December, Google began previewing an updated version of its Sheets online spreadsheet. That version is now going to be automatically rolled out to all Google Drive users over the next few weeks.
