Global recruitment agency Hays publishes data about the most in demand jobs a couple of times each year. Their forecast for the rest of this year is interesting as it suggests almost half of the businesses they work with are looking for permanent staff.

In the face of the rising gig economy where short term opportunities rule and job and wage security suffer, this is heartening news for many. And they've listed which jobs in a range of different industry vertical are likely to be on the most wanted list.


This week Uber president Jeff Jones quit because his "beliefs and approach to leadership" were incompatible with what he "saw and experienced at Uber." Uber has been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently and this is yet another PR snafu for the former darling of the start-up circuit.
