Being smart with your money has never been more important. To help our readers reach their financial best, we’re running a series of free interactive virtual workshops on the 29th of September, the 21st of October and the 2nd of December. One lucky participant from each session will also win a CUA everyday bank account with $500 inside.
In partnership with financial provider CUA, The Financial Glow Up series will give you the tools you need to get ahead with your money, working through budgeting, saving and spending. Each workshop will focus on a different topic.
If you’re not familiar with CUA, they’re Australia’s largest customer-owned banking organisation, making them the ideal partner for banking, finance expertise and handy hints you can learn all about at the events.
Two-time podcast host and Toni May creative director Laura Byrne will be hosting the event, joined by finance experts from CUA.
On Tuesday the 29th of September Laura and a CUA expert took attendees through all things saving for a home deposit, help with common home loan terms and facts, the value of an emergency fund and how much it should contain and more.
The next session will be all about sustainability on Wednesday the 21st of October. This will be all about making yourself sustainable, being smarter with money, choosing a bank that will help you bank better and more.
During the final session on Wednesday the 2nd of December, Laura will take you through financial stability, exploring how to get a handle on your cash flows, chatting to your partner about finances and how to plan for the future.
Along with her work at Toni May, Byrne hosts two podcasts: Life Uncut and Mamamia’s Me After You.
At the end of each workshop, one lucky attendee will win a CUA everyday bank account with a tidy $500 inside. The perfect kick-starter to your new-found financial freedom.
