Calm Your Anxiety By Spending Some Time With Polar Bears

Everyone has their own methods to relieve stress, but if you’re in the market for a new one, we have a suggestion: a livestream of adorable polar bears. Here’s how to spend some (virtual) time with these fluffy friends.

How to watch the polar bear livestream

This peek inside the lives of polar bears comes courtesy of Polar Bears International and Explore.org. The livestream is already up and running (you can find it here) and features polar bears from Churchill, Manitoba.

So what will you see? According to a statement from Polar Bears International, you can “watch for mums and cubs cuddling, males sparring, and lone bears lumbering across a snowy tundra.”

And there will be even more to see starting on November 1, which marks the beginning of Polar Bear Week, and happens to coincide with the bears’ annual migration to Churchill, Manitoba, where they come together to wait for the Hudson Bay to freeze so they can get back to hunting seals.

How to virtually attend Tundra Connections events

Plus, there will be polar bear programming running through November 19th called “Tundra Connections.” This mix of educational webcasts and live chats is designed for students, teachers and anyone interested in or curious about polar bears and the Arctic, and are recorded from Polar Bear International’s mobile Tundra Buggy studio.

To attend the webcasts, register for the programs, then visit the Tundra Connections viewing page at the scheduled time. To submit a question, you can email the organisation at [email protected].
