Use Muffin Tins and Egg Cartons for an Enhanced Picnic Experience

Outdoor dining is fabulous, even in the winter months. From footpaths to backyards to parks, we should all try getting outside and enjoying the fresh air.

It can be challenging to keep a picnic (and your fingers) clean and organised, especially when the comforts of home can be far away but you do have several options.

So, we put together some of our favourite picnic hacks to make the most of your birthday party, romantic lunch, or outdoor playdate. Start out by always laying a plastic tablecloth beneath your blanket, just in case the grass is wet from previous rainfall.

Freeze some water bottles to use as ice packs in your basket (or better yet, a cooler that looks like a basket, as baskets are not very well insulated). Put the bottles on top of your food, as cold air travels down, and once they melt, you can drink them. Upon your return, the cooler will be even lighter. That’s like a triple hack right there.

As for packing your food and drink, and keeping everything nice and clean, check out all the hacks in the video below.
