AT&T dropped a huge deal this weekend: an Apple TV 4K for just $US90 ($131). That’s nearly 50 per cent off its regular $US179 ($260) price tag and also the lowest price we’ve yet seen for the Apple TV 4K. Now, it’s no longer available online, but that doesn’t mean all hope is lost.
This bonkers deal went live on November 1st and applies to anyone”you don’t have to subscribe to any AT&T services to receive the discount. Plus, Apple is giving away a year of free Apple TV+ when you buy a new Apple device, so it’s no surprise that AT&T totally sold out of Apple TVs online.
Some customers have reported that they’ve still been able to score a cheap Apple TV 4K at local AT&T retail stores, and one user from the Slickdeals forums said their cashier applied the deal to their purchase without asking, so it’s clearly still running. However, the discounted Apple TV 4Ks appear to only be available through AT&T corporate stores, and not through authorised resellers (you might be able to get a price match at these stores if you haggle, but don’t hold your breath).
You can find the nearest AT&T corporate stores by using the online store finder, but the search results do not delineate clear which stores are AT&T Corporate store and which are authorised retailers. It’s likely that locations listed with a “Shop Online” link are corporate stores, but this isn’t a hard and fast rule.
The only real way to know if it’s a corporate-owned store or if it’s a reseller is to call and ask. Sure, it’s a little extra work, but it’ll be worth it if you’re serious about finding a discounted Apple TV 4K. And if your search comes up short, there are still plenty of other devices that support Apple TV+.
