“What song is 10/10, yet hardly anyone has heard of it?” redditor depressinqq asked. AskReddit users replied with 435 songs. Redditor BubblyBullinidae put them in a Spotify playlist.

You’ve definitely heard of some of these. There are hits and deep cuts by Portishead, Ween, Steely Dan, the Everly Brothers, Kate Bush, Tame Impala, and Phoebe Bridgers. (It’s a pretty white list.) But most of the recognisable songs are a treat, and if you’re not a big music nerd, a lot of these will be new to you.

If you want deeper cuts, go to r/vintageobscura, which has strict rules about how obscure a track needs to be. Every month they publish a YouTube playlist of the members’ favourite obscure tracks. Here’s the latest. Now those songs, you’ve definitely never heard.
