How Was Your Month Of Interval Workouts?

We made it through October, which means the month of cardio intervals is over and we now get to lie on the floor, sweating and panting, and vowing to never do this again.

Whether you hopped on a cardio machine at the gym, did some HIIT workouts in your living room, or took the time to learn to row, I hope you got something out of this challenge”even if it’s just the knowledge that intervals are perhaps not your favourite type of exercise.

Then again, maybe you love them! I would rather focus and do some short sprints than slog through hours of steady-state cardio, although it’s more a mental than physical challenge for me. Sprints are hard, but I always know they’ll be over in a few minutes or seconds. Steady state is easier on your lungs and muscles, but boring. Still, it’s hard to beat a jog down a scenic path in beautiful weather, when you get the chance. And if you’re able to zone out and do your cardio while listening to a good podcast or something, maybe steady cardio isn’t so bad.

So what are your reflections on the month? Did you find the intervals exciting or gruelling? And what was your favourite way to do them?
