Surface Laptop 3

Microsoft’s new Surface Laptop 3 is a slim laptop entry and comes with a lot of options. First, you’ll be able to choose between two display sizes but after that, you’ll choose one of five colours, your storage and RAM requirements and whether you want to upgrade to a more powerful graphics and computer processor.

If you just need the bare basics for everyday browsing, streaming and notetaking, you can nab one starting from $1699.

Surface Pro X

The big daddy of the Surface Pros is the new Pro X, which is slimmer than the Pro 7, with an enhanced battery life thanks to Microsoft’s new SQ1 processor. Verdict

At the end of the day, you should buy the one that fits best with your budget and needs. For people just wanting to use a fast, light laptop for notetaking or light tasks, such as internet browsing, it’d be a waste of money and processing power to buy a model with a great graphics card. If you need something portable and reliable, the Pro X has great battery life and is slimmer than the Pro 7.

With all the models being so customisable, it really comes down to what form you’d prefer: aesthetic, practical or portable. Thankfully, the new lineup seems to have a bit of that for everyone whichever you choose.
