Use This Disappearing To-Do List To Actually Get Shit Done

If you have too many tasks piling up in your to-do list, then they can actually freak you out so much that you get nothing done. You need to crack open a fresh to-do list. Gone is a web-based to-do list where every item disappears after 24 hours. It’s a bracing way to make sure you actually get your shit done now.

Create an account and add a few tasks you intend to do today. As the hours tick down, Gone will slowly fill a progress bar, reminding you that the task will soon disappear. And then poof, it’s gone.

To make Gone more effective, use New Tab Redirect (on Chrome) so that every time you open a new tab, you’re faced with your urgent to-do list, each item slowly fading. Get that stuff done before it disappears!

Gone isn’t for long-term projects, just for urgent stuff. And boy does it make everything feel urgent. Only add a task if you think you can do it in the next day.

It’s also good for those of us who constantly switch to-do apps, like me and the guy who made Gritty. It’s no replacement for a heavyweight app like Todoist or Wunderlist, but it’ll do for the day.

When it stops working for you, move onto another to-do app like Thought Train, Sorted, or Taskade.
