Everyone knows that being a teacher can be a stressful occupational choice. The app Calm is aiming to make that slightly less so by offering teachers around the world a premium subscription to its meditation app for free.
The deal is available to any teacher that works in a K-12 classroom. The idea being that the app can not only help a teacher but also arm them with skills to help students be more self-aware, with improved concentration and patience.
Teachers will have access to adult mindfulness tools, but also Calm Kids, the app’s programs designed specifically for kids, that they can share with children in their classroom.
To participate, teachers need to fill out a form on Calm’s website. Filling out the form should take less than a minute, and Calm says once you submit it you should receive an approval within the next week.
Afterward, the app will share tips and suggestions on how to incorporate mindfulness into the classroom.
